In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.”
And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. -Genesis 1:1-5
God is the awesome Creator, who loves us so much and saved us not because of righteous things we had done but because of his mercy. Only His mercy.
Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.
But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone. -Titus 3:3-8
How do you view the world around you? Do you see it as God's creation and do you have compassion and love others like Christ calls us to do? Have you thanked God for creating you and giving you a purpose beyond and above anything you could ever dream of?
If you haven't recently, take a moment now and give thanks with a grateful heart to God for everything he has created and for all of the blessings he's given to you. Afterwards, if you need to surrender your life, (maybe it's for the thousandth time, but that's not what matters...what matters is that you are choosing to surrender now) take the time to lay your life in the Lord's hands and wait for him to lead. He who promised is faithful.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. -Hebrews 10:23

Great post. My view on the world is that it's beautiful, but it's not perfect. It's still corrupted by sin. I think the same idea can be applied to the people in the world too.
aaahhhh loooveee<3
Sara - that's my view of the world, too.
Thanks, Elisha!
It gave me shivers reading what you said about God creating the world from nothing and looking at your photos.
I knew that God created the world my whole life, but it still amazes me.
Wonderful post!
