Scripture and a Snapshot: October 9th

The past four weeks or so I struggled with feeling God's presence and I was constantly consumed by doubts about my salvation. Instead of giving up and letting go, I have continued to read the Word, pray, and seek God wholeheartedly. On Tuesday my devotional was about David and how he decided to awaken from the darkness surrounding him in a very dark moment. He felt distant from God but instead of letting that drive him further from God, he cried out to him and proclaimed God's love, faith and goodness. The words stuck out to me and I realized that God won't abandon me - I just need to trust and obey him. You can read more of my thoughts here.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. -Psalm 57:7-8

Hey there, Love those words 'awake my soul' .... very very powerful I spoke them out 2 years ago ... then within a year was on my way to Africa to volunteer with orphaned and abandoned babies. Lovely post :)
