No Silver Lining.

Sunday. The bed wasn't made. There were clothes strewn across the chair. An open Bible, homework, my laptop and Canon Powershot formed a half circle in the middle of the bed. It was a mess, and that's life sometimes. There's not always a silver lining behind the clouds but there's a great, big God who we can trust to never fail us.

My friends and I look and feel exhausted. We're ready for the semester to be over but we have to keep pressing on, writing those long 10-page papers and creating more projects. It's almost Thanksgiving break, and we're desperate for some down time, although I'm not sure I'll have much time to relax because I have three papers due the week after break. At least I know that the due dates are approaching so I've started to write the papers ever so slowly...

That's where coffee comes in. I honestly don't know how I would survive without it. I love $1 off coupons from Stoney Creek, and I also love taking iPhone pictures with friends. With all the photos I take and upload to the computer and then upload to Picplz (which is linked to my Twitter account), having an iPhone would be nice because the process would be much quicker, but I don't think I'll be getting any Apple products for a long time, mainly just because they're expensive and I'd rather spend my money on other more valuable things, like going on mission trips. Things like that have an eternal impact instead of just an earthly impact. To be honest, I've been blessed with more technology, gizmos and gadgets than I even have time to use. God has been so good to me, allowing me to study at Cedarville University and giving me wonderful friends. Who am I to complain?

In the busyness of life, it's good to stop and quiet our hearts and be still in the presence of God. I'm thankful to God for blessing us with every spiritual blessing as well as many earthly blessings, too. He deserves all of the glory. As Thanksgiving approaches, I choose to be thankful for the last few days of classes to learn more and spend quality time with friends.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. -Ephesians 1:3

“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”
-Psalm 46:10
